Overview
Capacity: 25-35t/h | Max Processing Diameter: 500mm
The Rotary Drum Comprehensive Crusher, also known as a Horizontal Grinder or Horizontal Crusher, is a large-scale wood crushing machine developed by Zhengzhou JinPeng. The machine combines proven technologies from China and other countries to provide strong crushing performance, stable operation, and high output.
A horizontal grinder comes in two main series. The first series includes electric motor fixed models, such as JP3000, JP3600, and JPE6000. The second series includes diesel engine mobile models, including JP5000 and the HOT SALE JP7000.
Because these two series offer different power and mobility options, customers can choose a suitable machine based on their working site and production needs.
Wide Range of Wood Crushing Applications
The Horizontal Crusher works well in many wood processing applications. For example, biomass power plants can use it to process wood waste and other biomass materials for fuel.
In addition, high-density board factories can use the machine to prepare wood materials for further processing. Meanwhile, garden waste treatment facilities can use it to crush branches, tree trunks, roots, and other green waste.
The machine can handle a wide range of wood materials. These include logs, branches, wood waste, pallets, tree roots, and garden waste. Therefore, it can help plants reduce the size of bulky wood materials before further processing or fuel production.
High Capacity and Lower Labor Requirements
Depending on the material and working conditions, one wood crusher machine can process around 25โ35 t/h. This high capacity allows the machine to handle large amounts of wood waste in a relatively short time.
How Does the Horizontal Crusher Work?
The Horizontal Crusher uses a simple and continuous crushing process. The main steps include material feeding, initial crushing, screening, and recirculation.
1. Rotor and Feed Hopper Operation
First, a diesel engine or electric motor drives the rotor, also known as the crushing roller. The rotor rotates at high speed and creates the main crushing force.
At the same time, a hydraulic motor or electric motor slowly drives the feed hopper. This slow rotation helps move the material toward the crushing roller at a steady rate.
2. Material Feeding
Once a grapple machine loads the raw material into the feed hopper, the hopper starts to move the material forward.
Meanwhile, the material-distributing teeth on the inner wall of the hopper guide the wood toward the crushing roller. As a result, the system spreads the material more evenly and helps maintain a stable feed rate.
3. Initial Crushing
Next, the high-speed rotor strikes the incoming material with strong impact force. The knives mounted on the rotor then cut, tear, and break the material into smaller pieces.
During this stage, the rotor combines impact and cutting action to achieve the first stage of crushing. Therefore, the machine can quickly reduce large and bulky wood materials.
4. Screening and Recirculation
After the initial crushing stage, the material falls onto the screen inside the crushing chamber. Both gravity and the impact force from the rotor help move the material toward the screen.
Material that reaches the required size can pass through the screen and leave the crushing chamber. The conveyor can then transport the finished material to the next processing stage.
However, larger pieces cannot pass through the screen. Instead, they remain inside the crushing chamber and return to the crushing area.
The rotor continues to cut and crush these larger pieces. Depending on the material size and required output, the machine may process them through a second or even third crushing cycle.
Finally, once the material reaches the required size, it passes through the screen and exits the machine.

This continuous process allows the Horizontal Crusher to handle large and irregular wood materials while maintaining a more consistent output size.
